Funimation entertainment

Funimation (formerly known as Funimation Productions and Funimation Entertainment ) is an American company that produces, advertises and sells anime and other entertainment products in the US and around the world. It was founded in 1994 by businessman Geng Fukunaga and became a member of Navarre Corporation on May 11, 2005. In April 2011, Navarre sold FUNimation to a group of investors, including Fukunaga itself, for $ 24 million. [1] The central office is located in Flower Mound , Texas. [2]

Together with OlympuSAT, the company launched the FUNimation Channel , the second 24-hour digital cable network in the United States to broadcast anime (the first was AD Vision 's Anime Network ).

FUNimation also owns the rights to more than 30 works from the Sojitz catalog, previously owned by ADV Films . [3]
