Watford Electronics is a British company manufacturing electronic components for computers . Founded in 1972 by Nazir Jessa , it expanded to the extent that it became one of the most well-known suppliers of microcomputers and peripherals for them in the 1980s. [1] The company was very active in the BBC Micro world, producing a variety of computer peripherals.

In the 1990s, Watford Electronics gradually switched to serving the Wintel computer market in the 1990s. [1] In the 21st century, the company opened an online store , Savastore, but in 2007 it went bankrupt and went external. [2] Then, Watford Electronics was bought by Globally Limited , and in April of the same year the online store was renamed “Saverstore”. [3]
