Garbers, Henry

Heinrich Garbers ( German: Heinrich Garbers ; d. 1963 ) - naval officer , reserve lieutenant . He was not a krigsmarine personnel officer and did not have a military education. Garbers was transferred to the Abwehr by the Sonderführer , and later officially adopted by the Kriegsmarine . Garbers served on an ocean sailing ship commanded by H. Nissen. In May 1945, representatives of the Allied intelligence asked Garbers the names of the submarines on which he carried out his missions, his answer provoked distrust.

After the end of the war, he spent three years in custody, and subsequently headed his own small shipyard in Hamburg .
