Biography

Lisa was born on April 4, 1972 in Toronto, Canada, in a family of an Indian and a Polish woman , where she graduated from high school. After school, she dreamed of a journalist career, but a car accident in which Lisa’s mother was severely affected made her postpone her studies for some time. At age 16, one well-known Canadian fashion magazine invited Lisa to work as a model. Once on the cover of the magazine, the young girl immediately gained considerable popularity. Rejecting journalism, Ray began acting in commercials, and after a while, Indian filmmakers noticed her. In 2001, Lisa agreed to a role in the movie “A Trap for a Lawyer,” and in 2002, Indian-Canadian director Deepa Mehta invited her to play in the romantic comedy “Bollywood / Hollywood,” which gained immense popularity. I have no home. I am a little in London, but also in Paris, where my boyfriend lives. My parents are in Toronto, I work a lot in New York and India. It makes me a little chameleon, but I honestly like it.

Lisa was especially popular with roles in two films by British director of Indian and South African descent Shamim Sarif “The Invisible World ” (2007) and “ I Can't Think Heterosexually ” (2008), devoted to lesbian relations . In both films, Ray acted as a partner for the American actressital shet
