It is located 40 km south of the town of Torzhok , on the Shostka River.

The population at the 2002 census was 296 people.

History

At the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century, the village of Ladino belonged to the parish of the same name of the Darskoy volost, Staritsky district, Tver province . In 1859, there were 33 courtyards, 275 inhabitants, 2 churches in the village [2] . In 1914, the population in the Ladyiny parish included 1,271 inhabitants (the village of Ladino and the villages of Zherotino, Emenovo, Sakulino, Staroye Bogatyrevo, Novoye Bogatyrevo, Bernishino).

In 1941, on October 21, it was occupied by Nazi troops, liberated on December 30, 1941.

In 1997 - 147 farms, 372 inhabitants. The administration of the rural district, the board of the state farm "Ladino", junior high school, the House of leisure, a library, a shop.

Attractions

  • The complex of the Kaznakovs' estate of the XIX century (main house, outhouse, Pokrovskaya Church, farm buildings). Dam pond and park.
  • Mass grave of Soviet soldiers. In total, 168 people were buried (1941–1942), of which 37 are known.
