The Church of the Icon of the Mother of God “Quench My Sorrows” is the Orthodox church of the Vlacherna deanery of the Moscow diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church .

It is located in the Maryino district, 180 meters southeast of the metro station of the same name . Temple address: Maryinsky Boulevard , building 2.
Content
Temple History
The temple was founded on September 2, 1999 , construction was completed in 2001. On February 24 of that year, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexy II performed the rank of minor consecration of the temple [1] . This object was inaugurated by the then mayor of Moscow, Yuri Luzhkov [2] .
The Maryino Temple is the first temple built in the 21st century in Moscow. The architect of the temple is Andrei Obolensky. The building was financed by residents, organizations and enterprises of the city and district. The construction cost amounted to about 88 million rubles [3] .
Archpriest Anatoly Rodionov, who is also the dean of the Vlacherna deanery, was appointed rector of the church [4] .
At the main temple there is a small wooden temple, built in 1996 . The first service was performed on January 5, 1997 [1] .
Architecture
The temple is five-domed: the main dome is in the center, and four are located symmetrically relative to it, forming a square; they are covered with a copper roof. The temple has two belfries - with small bells and stuffed bells. Above the main entrance to the entire outer wall is the icon “Quench my sorrows” [2] . The height of the temple is 42 meters.
The main throne is the icons of the Mother of God “Satisfy My Sorrows” [1] .
