Located 39 km south of the city of Torzhok , on the river Darkness . The highway " Torzhok - Vysokoe - Bernovo - Staritsa " runs through the village.

History
In the late XIX - early XX centuries, the village of Bogatkovo belonged to the Novotroitsky parish of the Dar parish of the Staritsky district of the Tver province . In 1859, there were 29 courtyards in the village, 266 inhabitants, in 1886 - 47 courtyards, 277 inhabitants, a dyeing shop, a small shop; Crafts: masons, laborers. In 1921, Bogatkovo was the center of the village council of the same name in the Kunganovsky volost, in 1925 - the Vysokovskaya volost of Novotorzhye district . In 1997 - 65 households, 172 residents. The administration of the rural district, the central estate of the Krasny Peredovik collective farm, elementary school, library, leisure center, first-aid post, and shop. [2]
