The Australian Institute of Criminology is Australia 's national crime research institute and knowledge center. The Institute seeks to promote justice and reduce crime by conducting and transmitting evidence-based research to substantiate policies and practices.

Topics covered include violent crime, drugs, transnational and organized crime, economic and high-tech crime, criminal justice systems, and capacity building.
