Geography

The city is located in the southern part of Bushir, on the plain of Hermsir , between the coast of the Persian Gulf and the ranges of south-western Zagros , at an altitude of 634 meters above sea ​​level [2] .

Jam is located approximately 190 kilometers southeast of Bushehr , the provincial capital and 870 kilometers south of Tehran , the capital of the country.

Population

For 2006, the population was 10,809 people [3] ; Persians predominate in the national composition, Sunni Muslims in the confessional.
