Jem [1] ( pers. جم ) is a city in southern Iran , in the province of Bushehr . The administrative center of Shahrestan Jam . Large center of petrochemical and gas processing industry.

Geography
The city is located in the southern part of Bushir, on the plain of Hermsir , between the coast of the Persian Gulf and the ranges of south-western Zagros , at an altitude of 634 meters above sea level [2] .
Jam is located approximately 190 kilometers southeast of Bushehr , the provincial capital and 870 kilometers south of Tehran , the capital of the country.
Population
For 2006, the population was 10,809 people [3] ; Persians predominate in the national composition, Sunni Muslims in the confessional.
