It was discovered in November 1955 and put into production in 1958. By 2010, the field had produced 500 million tons of oil, and 9.8 thousand wells were drilled. The first discovery is well No. 3, drilled by a team of oil explorators under the direction of master Sakhapov, located near the village of Ashit (15 km from Neftekamsk)

Geology

The length of more than 100 km, with a width of up to 25 km, is confined to a vast anticlinal fold with gently sloping wings. Oil-bearing sandstones of the Visean tier of the Lower Carboniferous age, carbonate reservoirs of the Kashiro-Podolsk productive stratum of Middle Carboniferous. The main reserves are concentrated in sandstones of the terrigenous sequence of the Lower Carboniferous (75% of the initial reserves) at a depth of 1400-1450 m.

The group’s initial oil reserves are estimated at 1.2 billion tons.

Development Technology

During development, waterflooding is used. The main method of operating production wells is mechanized. The total well stock is about 8 thousand units. Oil is produced with a high water content (93%). At the peak, production at the field reached 12 million tons per year.

Oil Characteristics

Oils are dense (840–894 kg / m 3 ), viscous (up to 30 mPa × s), sour (up to 3%), and low gas saturation (up to 18 m 3 gas per 1 ton of oil).

It is operated by the oil and gas production departments of the OGPD Arlanneft, the OGPU Chekmagushneft of Bashneft- Dobycha LLC and the OGPD-1 of Belkamneft OJSC.
