Attractions
Demakova Street is one of the youngest streets in the Soviet District; its attraction is a monument to the Hero of the Soviet Union Alexander Demakov, installed at the beginning of the street. At the monument, former military personnel of the airborne troops often gather, especially past hot spots, on the day of the Airborne Forces , August 2 .
Another attraction on Demakova Street is the “post of Deputy Agafonov, ” which he dug up as a deputy of the City Council. This pillar was supposed to symbolize that the deputy would be honest with his voters and fulfill all his campaign promises. But, unfortunately, his term of office has long expired, and the pillar still stands, reminding the residents of Demakov Street of unfulfilled deputy promises.
Landscaping
The territory adjacent to the intersection of Russian and Demakov streets is a wasteland overgrown with bushes in human height. Talk about turning this territory into a culture and recreation park has been going on almost since the day Demakova Street appeared, but to a greater extent they are the election promises of candidates for deputies of various levels.
Transport
Buses
In the late 1990s, bus route No. 62, which previously went along Arbuzov / Ivanova and Rossiyskaya streets, was transferred to Demakova Street. Then he was transferred to the reserve, and instead of him, bus number 23 began to go along Demakov, which for a long time worked according to the “shortened” scheme from the stop Tsvetnoy proezd along Berdskoye Shosse to Shluz and ObGES . In Soviet times, route No. 23 ran from Tsvetnoy Passage along Morskoy, Lavrentiev and Stroiteley Avenues, then along Berdskoye Shosse and Russkaya Street further to the ObGES. Thus, the dissatisfaction of a significant part of the residents of Akademgorodok deprived of uninterrupted bus communication with the Gateway and the ObHES was taken into account (the bus route No. 48 that existed at that time did not go along Demakova Street, but along Arbuzov / Ivanov, moreover, it went extremely irregularly).
Since, as is often the case in Novosibirsk, municipal transport does not cope with the flow of people who want to use its services, duplicate minibuses appear. In this case, it is the ring minibus No. 1062 / 1062a, connecting the area of Demakova Street with the institutes of the SB RAS, the Upper Zone of Akademgorodok , the Gateway and the D microdistrict, and the minibus No. 43 going to the Gateway and the ObHES through the Shch microdistrict (bypassing the institutes and the Upper zone).
Also, Demakova Street is connected by bus route No. 65 and minibus No. 1186 (these routes completely duplicate each other) with Nizhnyaya Yeltsovka , bus route No. 38 with the Pervomaisky district of Novosibirsk (previously bus No. 38 went along the route "Department of Mechanization No. 3 - Svetlaya") , by bus route No. 48 with a Gateway, ObHPP and Chemsky Bor (previously the bus went from the Kotelnaya stop, now it makes a U-turn on Arbuzov Street, so in a full circle, driving along this street 4 times - 2 times in both directions) by bus ma Route number 72 with the Village of Geologists. In the summer, seasonal routes No. 716 (Demakova St. - Klyuchi), No. 717 (Demakova St. - Nadezhda s / o), No. 718 (Demakova - Boldyreva St.) are introduced.
In addition, Demakova Street was provided with uninterrupted communication with Berdsk via shuttle bus number 325 and metro station “ Rechnoy Vokzal ” due to shuttle bus number 91. Previously, bus number 11 ran to the specified metro station, now it has an end stop on Marx Square.
Stops
- Community Shopping Center
- st. Demakova (Clinic).
It should be noted that the numbering of houses in the business part of the street is quite chaotic. On the same side you can find both odd and even house numbers. Many buildings in the business part have two addresses, referring simultaneously to Demakova Street and Kutateladze Street.
