He graduated from the Kazakh State Pedagogical Institute .
In the 1970s defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of philological sciences on the theme "Tale and short story (based on Russian folklore and ancient Russian stories of the XV-XVI centuries)" [1] .
In the 1990s He defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Philology on the topic “The Tale of Bygone Years: The Image of Man and the Problem of the Literary Integrity of the Text” [2] .
In 2008 - participant of the International Scientific Conference in St. Petersburg dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Professor E. A. Kostyukhin; a report was read on the topic "Mythological aspects of the annals about Prince Vladimir" [3] .
He works at the Oryol State University at the Department of the History of Russian Literature of the 11th – 19th Centuries. (philological faculty).
