The current coat of arms of Kungur was approved by the decision of the Kungur City Council of November 13, 2008 No. 154 and entered into the State Heraldic Register of the Russian Federation with the assignment of registration number 114.

 In the azure (blue) field, a silver cornucopia tilted down, golden ears of various bread are strewed from it.

The first coat of arms of Kungur was approved in July 17, 1783 . Description of the coat of arms: "In the upper part of the crossed shield is the coat of arms of the Perm Provincial Chancellery, in the lower part of the cornucopia with fruits pouring from it, marking the fertility of the surrounding lands . "

In 1862, a draft of the new coat of arms of Kungur was being developed, but it was not approved. Description of the coat of arms project: “There are 9 golden ears in the azure shield: 3, 3, 3. In the free part, the coat of arms of the Perm province. The shield is crowned with a silver walled crown and surrounded by golden ears of corn connected by the Alexander ribbon. ”

On June 27, 1972 , the so-called Soviet coat of arms of Kungur, developed by a group of artists led by Gordeev, was approved by a decision of the executive committee of the city council of people's deputies. Emblem description: "On the red shield there is an emblem consisting of gears, ears, cornucopia, silhouettes of a plant and a spruce, a red star. The emblem is superimposed on three blue waves."

By the decision of the Kungur City Council of October 28, 1994 No. 30 (as amended by the decision of the Kungur City Council of November 13, 2008 No. 154), the historical coat of arms of Kungur was restored.
