Cassie is the debut studio album of American singer Cassandra Ventura , known by the stage name Cassie, released on August 8, 2006 via Diddy's Bad Boy Records . The album took second place in the Top R & B / Hip-Hop Albums charts and fourth place in the Billboard 200 general charts [1] . 321 thousand copies of the album were sold in the USA [2] . In the British chart, the album lasted only two weeks, reaching only the 33rd line of the rating [3] .

The album was produced mainly by Ryan Leslie , who is also the author of most of the album's compositions. The album is designed in the style of modern rhythm and blues , although, according to Cassie herself, contains elements of hip-hop , pop and rock music . In addition, elements of traditional Filipino music have been added to some ballads.
The song Me & U was released as a single on April 25, 2006, became a club hit and sold over a million copies, receiving the status of a platinum single. The second single, Long Way 2 Go, was released on October 23 of the same year and sold rather poorly, reaching only 97th place on the chart.
