Career

Dmitry Klopov began his professional career in 2006 as part of his native Nizhny Novgorod Premier League club “ Torpedo ”, speaking before that for his farm club. In his debut season, Dmitry spent only 3 matches on the site, gaining 1 (1 + 0) point, however, as part of the second team, he became the top scorer of the season. In the 2006/07 season, Klopov together with the club won the right to participate in the Super League , where the next year he managed to score 13 (8 + 5) points in 40 matches held.

The following season, Dmitry made his debut in the Continental Hockey League , but his performance decreased noticeably, so before the start of the new season he was sent to the club of the youth hockey league "The Seagull ", in which he scored 30 (15 + 15) points in 24 games. Almost the entire 2010/11 season , before which Klopov extended his agreement with Torpedo [1] , he spent in the VHL as part of HC Sarov , where in 47 matches he scored 26 (15 + 11) points.

Dmitry also started the 2011/12 season in the VHL, however, on November 12, 2010 he was sent back to Torpedo [2] , which, according to the season results, scored 1 (0 + 1) scored points in 7 matches. On May 3, 2012, Klopov signed a contract with the Yaroslavl Lokomotiv who returned to the KHL after the tragic plane crash [3] .

International

As part of the Russian national team, Dmitry Klopov took part in the 2009 World Youth Championships, where he and the team won bronze medals, gaining 7 (5 + 2) points in 7 matches held.
