Purpose of Flight

Delivery to the orbital station (OS) of more than 2200 kilograms of various cargoes, including fuel, stock of oxygen mixture, scientific equipment, personal protective equipment, as well as products and parcels for crew members of the OS Mir.

Flight Chronicle

  • 04/25 . 2000 , at 23:08:02 ( MSK ), (20:08:02 UTC ) - launch from the Baikonur Cosmodrome ;
  • 04/28 . 2000 , at 01:28:47 (MSK), (21:28:47 UTC) - docking with the Mir OS to the docking node on the aggregate compartment of the Quant service module was completed. The process of rapprochement was carried out automatically;
  • 11/15 . 2000 , at 21:09:51 (MSK), (18:09:51 UTC) - TGK undocked from the OS and went into autonomous flight.

The difference from the adopted undocking scheme was only in time of this event. According to many years of practice, the separation of TGCs was carried out only after the successful launch of the new TGG "Progress", which should replace the former TGK in orbit. This time, the undocking was carried out before the start. The reason was the very close phases of Mir OS and the new Progress M-43 TGK. In order to avoid errors when issuing commands, undocking was performed earlier. [3]

Cargo List
