Soyuz TMA-08M

Soyuz TMA-08M is a Russian passenger transport manned spacecraft on which three members of the ISS-35 expedition flew to the International Space Station . This is the 115th manned flight of the Soyuz- type spacecraft, starting with the first flight in 1967 . The launch of the ship was performed on March 29, 2013 , the landing of the lander took place on September 11, 2013.

Associated Expeditions

This is the first manned spacecraft that made a flight to the ISS according to an abbreviated program: the flight time was 6 hours instead of two days, according to a four-turn approach to the ISS ^[2] .

During the expedition, 50 experiments are planned: 48 experiments started in previous expeditions, 2 experiments are new.

During the landing, an emergency occurred: the sensors refused, and the crew had to land, receiving data from the pilots of the search and rescue service aviation. Nevertheless, the landing was completed safely ^[3] .

The crew commander, Pavel Vinogradov , became the oldest Russian astronaut, having made his third space flight at the age of 60 years ^[3] .
