Geography
Located in the northwestern part of the country. It borders with Guinea (in the north and east), Sierra Leone (in the west), as well as with the counties of Gbarpolu (in the south) and Bong (in the southeast). The area is 9978 km².

According to the 2008 census, the population is 270,114; the average population density is 27.07 people / km² [1] .
