The ancestor of the noble family of this family name was Bogdan Timofeevich Belekhov , who was spotted in 1626 by a populated estate in the Galich district of the Kostroma province of the Russian Empire [1] .
The descendants of his three grandchildren ( Sevastyan Stepanovich and Peter Grigoryevich and Kalina Grigoryevich ) were included in the VI part of the noble genealogy of the book of the Kostroma province of Russia [1] .
From Feofan Prokhorovich Belekhov there was another branch of the Belekhov clan, which was inscribed by the Kostroma noble assembly in the VI part of the noble genealogy of the eponymous province; however, in 1850, the Heraldry of the Governing Senate refused to approve this branch of the Belekhovs in the ancient (pillar) nobility [1] .
