History

Volostnaya Pillow - the village at Pidmozero, the number of yards - 14, the number of inhabitants: 40 m., 45 w. P.; All Karelians. (1873 year) [2]

The compilation of the Central Statistical Committee described it like this:

HAIR PILLOW (LUKINSKOE) - the former state village, yards - 21, residents - 128; Two Orthodox churches. (1885 year) [3]

VOLOSTNOY-PILLOW - village of Volostnonavolotsky society at Lake Pidmozere, peasant population: houses - 20, families - 24, men - 51, women - 66; non-peasant: houses - 1, families - 1, men - 3, women - 2; horses - 12, cows - 29, other - 35. School. (1905) [4]

In the XIX - early XX centuries, the village administratively belonged to the Myatusovsky volost of the 2nd camp of the Olonets district of the Olonets province .

From 1917 to 1919, the village was part of the Myatusovsky volost of the Olonets district of the Olonets province.

Since 1919, as part of the Volost-Navolotsky Village Council.

Since 1922, as part of the Petrograd province .

Since 1923, as part of the Ostrichinsky volost of the Leningrad province .

Since 1927, as part of the Podporozhsky district. In 1927, the population of the village was 179 people [5] .

According to 1933, the village was called Volost Navolok and was part of the Volnavolotsky village council of the Podporozhsky district, centered in the village of Posad [6] .

From August 1, 1941 to May 31, 1944, the village was in Finnish occupation.

Since 1963, as part of the Lodeynopolsky district .

Since 1965, again as part of the Podporozhsky district. In 1965, the population of the village was 29 people [5] .

According to 1966, the village was called Volnavolok and was part of the Volnavolotsky village council [7] .

According to the data of 1973 and 1990, the village of Volnavolok was part of the Tokarsky village council of the Podporozhsky district [8] [9] .

In 1997, 15 people lived in the Volnavolok village of Tokarsky volost, in 2002 - 8 people (Russians - 75%) [10] .

In 2007, in the village of Volnavolok of the Podporozhsky state enterprise - 6 [11] [12] .

Geography

The village is located in the northern part of the district on the highway 41K-149 ( Podporozhye - Kurpovo ).

The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 32 km [11] .

The distance to the nearest railway station is Tokari - 9 km [7] .

The village is located on the northwest shore of Lake Pidmozero .
