Lampobatang rat [1] ( lat. Bunomys coelestis ) is a rodent species of the Mouse family of the genus Sulawes mountain rats . Described by Oldfield Thomas in 1896 .

Endemic to Sulawesi Island ( Indonesia ). The natural habitat is dry subtropical forests.
Due to the limited range and constant destruction of the species' natural habitats, the lampobatang rat is in critical condition in terms of threat to extinction (category “CR”). [2]
