Biography

From the nobility of St. Petersburg province. The son of Privy Councilor , Senator , Director of the Executive Police Department of the Ministry of the Interior Orzhevsky Vasily Vladimirravich .

From June 11, 1855, the page-chamber was promoted to ensign of the Life Guards Semyonovsky Regiment . From April 7, 1862, a second lieutenant, from April 1862, a lieutenant. From July 14 to December 1, 1894 he was with the regiment as part of the troops of the Vilna Military District . From June 13 to September 20, 1856 he was in Moscow as part of the troops of the Guards and Grenadier Corps, assembled there on the occasion of the Holy Coronation of Their Imperial Majesties, and has a dark bronze medal established in memory of this event.

From December 11, 1861 to May 2, 1863 he was on a business trip to the military-judicial commission held at the St. Petersburg Ordinance .

He was promoted to headquarters captain on April 19, 1864, and on August 30 of the following year he was awarded the Order of St. Stanislav of the 3rd degree [1] . On April 20, 1869 he was promoted to captain and in the same year, on August 30 he was awarded the Order of St. Anna of the 3rd degree [1] .

On August 27, 1872, he was promoted to colonel by the executive director of the junior headquarters officer and was awarded the Order of St. Stanislav of the 2nd degree on August 30 [1] . On June 7, 1875, he was approved by the chief of shooters and on November 6 was awarded the Order of St. Anne of the 2nd degree. The following year, four battalions were formed from guards regiments of rifle companies, with the formation of one company. February 1, 1876, Vladimir Vasilievich was approved by the commander of the 4th battalion of his regiment.

On August 6, 1876, at the Regimental feast of the Preobrazhentsev in the same year, he was appointed an adjutant wing to His Majesty. With the beginning of the mobilization, Vladimir Vasilievich was expelled from command of the 4th battalion, and then on August 17th he was appointed commander of the reserve battalion. September 2, 1878 was awarded the Order of St. Vladimir of the 4th degree. In November of that year, he was granted the Persian Order of Leo and the Sun of the 4th degree.

September 4, 1880 he was appointed commander of the 145th Novocherkassk His Imperial Majesty the Heir to the Tsesarevich Regiment [2] .

On August 30, 1881 he was awarded the Order of St. Vladimir of the 3rd degree. As commander of the chef’s regiment, he was summoned to the Highest Command to Moscow during the Holy Coronation of Their Majesties. On February 15, 1884 he was granted a medal established in remembrance of this event.

On June 13, 1888, he was promoted to major general, with the appointment of the commander of the 2nd brigade of the 9th infantry division, but in the same year on November 2, he was transferred to the 2nd brigade of the 24th infantry division.

August 30, 1891 awarded the Order of St. Stanislav 1 degree; May 26, 1893 was appointed commander of the 2nd Brigade of the 22nd Infantry Division. In 1895 he was awarded the Order of St. Anne of 1 degree [1] .

He was married in a second marriage to the daughter of the Hofmeister of the Highest Court, maid of honor Her Majesty Maria Nikolaevna Bakhmetova (26.6.1849-14.4.1896); buried in the Isidor Church of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra .

From his first marriage, he had a son, Vladimir (01.10.1880–?), From the second marriage, his daughter Maria (Missy) (03.15.1890–06.08.1900) and son Alexei (01.01.1892—?).
