Career

In the World Cup, Takalo made her debut in 1982 , at the same time, the only time in her career, she was in the top twenty at the World Cup stage. Takalo's best achievement in the overall World Cup standings is 47th in the 1981/82 season.

At the 1968 Olympic Games in Grenoble, she started in two races, 5 km - 22nd place, 10 km - did not finish.
