Parodies of the Harry Potter novels series

The huge popularity of the Harry Potter fantasy book series by Joan Kathleen Rowling led to the fact that many parodies were created based on it, covering various areas of human life. The franchise holds the record for the degree of parody: more than 400 thousand books sold. Some parodies were declared by J.K. Rowling and her publishers as plagiarism, while others were sold in hundreds of thousands of copies without any threat of legal sanctions. Many parodies of Harry Potter were self-published, others were presented in magazines and on television, in various humorous programs (for example, Mad magazine, The Simpsons, South Park cartoons, Saturday Night Live and Robot Chicken television programs) that parodied Harry Potter more than once . In many cases, J. K. Rowling also parodied herself.
