History
Turgenevskoye rural settlement was established on June 30, 2008 in accordance with the Law of the Kaliningrad Oblast No. 260 [2] ; it included the territories of the Slavic and Tyuleninsky rural districts .
By the law of the Kaliningrad region of October 18, 2016 No. 5 [3] , on January 1, 2017, all the municipal formations of the Polessky municipal district — Polesskoe urban settlement , Golovkinskoe , Zalesovskoye , Saranskoye and Turgenevskoe rural settlements — were transformed, by means of their union, into the Polesia urban district .
