Emblem Description

β€œIn the azure field above the green included extremity slanted to the left, there is a silver gull flying to the right with its wings raised and wings extended.”

The coat of arms of the Aniva city district, in accordance with the Methodological Recommendations for the development and use of official symbols of municipalities (Section 2, Chapter VIII, paragraphs 45-46), approved by the Heraldic Council under the President of the Russian Federation on June 28, 2006 can be reproduced with a status crown established sample.

Emblem Symbolism Description

The coat of arms of the Aniva urban district, in the language of symbols and allegories, reflects the natural-geographical and economic features of the municipality.

Anivsky urban district is located in the south of Sakhalin Island , at the confluence of the Lyutoga River, into Salmon Bay ( Aniva Bay ). The composition of the coat of arms indicates the geographical location of the urban district, and also allegorically reflects the developed fishing industry - industrial production of pink salmon and chum salmon is conducted here; fishing sites and enterprises work.

The flying gull is a symbol of flight, swiftness, determination.

Silver is a symbol of purity, perfection, peace and mutual understanding.

Green is a symbol of nature, health, youth, life growth in the coat of arms symbolizes fertile soils suitable for farming.

Blue color - a symbol of honor, nobility, spirituality; color of water open spaces and boundless sky.

The emblem was developed with the assistance of the Union of Heraldists of Russia .

The coat of arms was approved by Decision No. 181 of the Meeting of the Aniva City District (twenty-fifth session of the fifth convocation (extraordinary) dated May 5, 2011. [1] .

The coat of arms is entered by the State Heraldic Register of the Russian Federation under No. 6918.

Coat of Arms History

On September 18, 2002, by Decision of the Meeting No. 129 β€œOn the Approval of the Regulationβ€œ On the Coat of Arms of the Anivsky District Municipality ”, the first coat of arms of the district was approved. A competition was announced in June 2002 to develop the symbols of the area. The winner of the competition was the project of the artist-designer of the House of Children's Creativity Viktor Kovpayev. [2] The coat of arms had the following description: β€œThe coat of arms of the Aniva city district is a quadrangular, with rounded lower corners, pointed at the tip of a yellow heraldic shield, in the foreground of which is cut a split fir tree of dark green color, in the lower part between the parts of the trunk of a spruce tree - The image of fish is light blue and yellow. At the bottom of the coat of arms is an image of dark blue waves. In the background of the coat of arms is the rising sun against a background of hills of dark blue color and a derrick with a burning torch of light blue color. Between the base of the hills and the base of the spruce is an arable land of dark green color. On the upper edge of the coat of arms - the inscription "Aniva" is blue. " [3]

In 2006, the Aniva district was transformed into the municipality of Aniva city district.

In 2011, at the suggestion of the Union of Heraldists of Russia, a new emblem of the city district was adopted, drawn up according to the drawing of the flag of the Aniva district, approved in 2002.
