(6358) Chertok ( lat. Chertok ) - an asteroid from the main belt group, which was discovered on January 13, 1977 by the Soviet astronomer Nikolai Cherny in the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory and named after the outstanding Soviet (Russian) scientist, Hero of Socialist Labor, academician Boris Chertok , who For many years he was a specialist in spacecraft control systems, Deputy Chief (General) Designers of OKB-1 (later - TsKBEM, NPO Energia, RSC Energia ) [1] .
