In the Mansfeld dialect, the following distinctive features can be distinguished. The name of the locality Helbra ( Helbra ) in the dialect will be Helwer or Hälwer . The word Hälwer is the prototype of the name (or original name) from which the modern came. The umlaut a instead of e is always used. Words like runter, herauf, and hinauf are runger, roff, and noff . So, the Kommst Du mal runter proposal ? will look like: Kämmeste moal runger? There is an obvious resemblance to the North Thuringian dialect . The verb haben in pronunciation is heard as hammse , however, given that this is an Upper Saxon influence, it follows the truly Mansfeld version of hawwense .
