Wolfartsweyer ( German: Wolfartsweier ) is a district of Karlsruhe . It is located about 2.5 km southwest of the city center of Karlsruhe and south of Federal Highway 10 (B10). Today, about 10,000 people live in it.

History
For the first time, Wolfartsweyer was documented in 1261 under the name Wolvoldiswilere. In 1535 it became part of the Baden-Durlach Margrave. At the end of the Thirty Years War in 1648, only seven adult males of Wolfartsweyer survived. The community increased to 370 inhabitants by 1837 and to 506 inhabitants by 1901. From 1907 to 1971 in the area of Zündhüntle The ammunition factory of Dynamit Nobel AG (Genschow) was operating. In 1935, a swimming pool was opened. On January 1, 1973, Wolfartsweyer was included in the community of Karlsruhe.
