Career

The gardener began his career as a football player in the Belarusian club Dnepr from Mogilev . He played for this team from 1995 to 2000. The most productive season for the Belarusian striker was the year 2000 , when a football player scored 13 goals in 15 matches of the Belarusian championship.

In the same year, Ogorodnik moved to the Russian Zenith . The player’s debut in the Russian championship took place on August 13, 2000 in a match with the Moscow Torpedo , in which Petersburgers won with a score of 2: 1 [1] . Belarus scored the first goal in the country's top division in a game with Lokomotiv from Moscow, but Muscovites won 2-1 [2] . On October 14, in a match with Samara's “ Wings of the Soviets, ” the goal of Ogorodnik, who came on as a substitute after the second half, allowed Zenit to win a minimal victory over the opponent [3] . In addition to the main team, the Belarusian forward held several games for Zenit-2 from the Second Division of the West zone. The double of the Belarusian on September 24, 2000 helped the reserve team from St. Petersburg to defeat Lokomotiv-2 [4] .

In the next two seasons, Ogorodnik appeared on the field only 4 times, after which he left Zenit and in 2003 moved to Metallurg from Lipetsk . The forward stopped scoring goals, which was the reason for his transfer to the St. Petersburg Dynamo , speaking in the First Division of the PFL . In the 2003 season, in seven matches he was able to distinguish himself only once [5] .

In 2004, he signed a contract with Gazovik , but his career there did not work out either. A season later, Ogorodnik returned to his homeland, played for several Belarusian clubs ( Neman , Dnepr-Transmash and Veras ), and in 2008 completed his sports career.
