Muratov, Stepan Mikhailovich

Stepan Mikhailovich Muratov ( 1885 - 1957 ) - Russian Soviet theater actor and director. People's Artist of the RSFSR ( 1946 ). Laureate of the Stalin Prize of the second degree ( 1949 ). Member of the CPSU (b) since 1944 .

Biography

Stepan Muratov began his artistic career in 1907 , playing in Perm , Odessa , Irkutsk , Penza . Since 1930, Muratov served in the Saratov Theater named after K. Marx . The Saratov Theater hosted most of his stage work.

Muratov had excellent external data, a bright, inspired temperament. Never resorting to excessive pathos, he revealed the wealth of the inner world of his heroes, using avaricious expressive means. The actor was especially successful in the images of courageous people full of power. He played the role of people from the people, the heroes of the Civil War , ordinary workers.

Muratov was named after the river tug that went along the Volga [1] .

Stepan Muratov was buried in the Resurrection Cemetery of Saratov . His grave is included in the list of historical and cultural monuments of the Russian Federation [2] .
