Biography

Zarif Bashiri was born on May 5, 1888 in the village of Chuteevo of the Tsivilsky district of the Kazan province (now the Kaybitsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan ) into a mullah’s family. By Tatar nationality.

From 1898 to 1902 he studied at the Nuria Madrasah in [6] Buinsk . Then, from 1902 to 1904 he continued his studies at the madrasah of the village of Akyogetovo. At the end of the madrasah, having worked as a teacher in his native village, he entered the Muhammadiya Madrasah, which he graduated in 1908.

During his studies at the Muhammadiye Madrasah, the first publications of Bashiri came. Since 1913, teaching in the city of Kapal (now Kazakhstan ). He studies the languages, life and life of the Kazakh, Uyghur and Uzbek peoples. Since 1917, in the editorial offices of newspapers and the satirical magazine "Sadat" ("Salad") in the city of Alma-Ata .

1918-1919 - Head of the Department of Public Education of the city ​​of Jarkent (Kazakh Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic). Later, he worked in educational institutions in Tashkent , and held senior positions in newspapers and magazines.

He is working on the novel “Tau kultiklarynda” (“In the Gorges”). He writes the play “Sadyr Honruk”, the production of which in 1923 by the Uyghur theater company at the House of National Minorities of Alma-Ata, became one of the first theatrical productions in the Uyghur language .

Since 1921 he is a member of the board of the association of proletarian writers. In 1920-1930 taught Uzbek and Uyghur languages and literature at the Central Asian State University (Uzbek. Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic of Tashkent). During this period, the collections of Uzbek Literature, Uyghur Literature, Chuvash Literature (translation and opening remarks by Z. 1930-1931 he lived and worked in the Donbass in Stalin, head of the literature department of the Tatar newspaper "Proletar" ("Proletarian"). He owns the story “The Invasion of Karagosh” (“Karagosh Yauy”), published in 1958 in Bashkirkignoizdat, in the Bashkir language [5] and in 2013 in Russian in the journal Bielskiye Prostory (No. 6 June 2013), which describes events uprising of the Black Eagle in 1920. In the same year, the book “Saylanma Eserler” (“Selected Works”) was published in Kazan. In the last years of his life, work on memoirs “Memoirs of contemporaries” was published in an abridged version in 1968.
