Rockuronium bromide is a non-depolarizing muscle relaxant of medium duration. By structure - mono-quaternary steroid analogue of vecuronium . In clinical practice, it began to be used since 1994 [1] . Since 2012, it has been included in the Vital and Essential Drugs List instead of vecuronium bromide .

Pharmacokinetics
Rocuronium is not metabolized and excreted unchanged by the liver and to a lesser extent (30%) - by the kidneys. With renal failure, the duration of the drug does not change.
Dosage
The dose for intubation is 0.45-0.6 mg / kg. The maintenance dose is jet 0.15 mg / kg or infusion 5-12 μg / kg per minute. Rocuronium is weaker in strength than other steroid muscle relaxants, but its rate of onset of the effect is the fastest (60–90 seconds at a dose of 0.6 mg / kg), second only to succinylcholine . The duration of action is 20-40 minutes. In old age, the duration of the drug increases.
Side Effects
Rocuronium does not cause histamine release and does not significantly affect the cardiovascular system.
