Player Career
Alexander was born in the Far Eastern city of Komsomolsk-on-Amur , where his mother moved from Ukraine to her husband. But the family life of the parents did not work out and in 1954 Sasha and his mother returned to Kiev [1] .
Initially, Sasha was engaged in skiing with the coach of the Dynamo sports school Elena Sergeevna Krutilova, was a candidate for master of sports. But still the desire to play football led him to the football section of the Temp sports club, where he began to train with Spirin's coach. In 1963, a talented guy was transferred to the Dynamo football school in Kiev, where his coaches were Vitaliy Golubev and Alexander Leonidov. In the group of children born in 1952, Oleg Blokhin , Viktor Kondratov and Valery Zuev studied along with Damin, they went through all the stages of youth football and in 1970 were enrolled in the backup team of the Dynamo team [1] .
At the age of 17, on June 1, 1970, in the match for the USSR Cup “Zarya” (Voroshilovgrad) - “Dynamo” (Kiev) , Alexander first entered the football field in the main team. But in the championship, for two years he played for understudies [1] .
Since 1972, Daming began to enter the field at the base, making his debut in the Premier League on June 11, in the match Dynamo (Kiev) - Ararat - 2: 2, leaving in the second half to replace Vladimir Muntyan instead. In 1972-1973, Dynamo Kiev twice became silver medalists of the championship and if in his first season Daming did not have enough matches to receive medals (13 of 30), then the next year, taking part in 24 matches, he deservedly became the winner of the championship.
At the beginning of 1974, in a match against Shakhtar Donetsk, Alexander received a serious meniscus injury, as a result of which he missed almost the entire season. Having recovered, he lost his firm place at the base, getting into the starting lineup less and less.
In September 1975, he took part in the first of two matches for the UEFA Super Cup against Bayern Munich. In total, he played 18 matches in European Cups ( European Cup - 11 matches (1 goal), UEFA Cup - 6 matches, UEFA Super Cup - 1 match). In the same 1975, he was invited to play for the USSR Olympic team that went on a tour of Australia, in which he held 5 official fights.
Having held the spring championship of 1976 with Dynamo, Daming left the Kiev club, accepting the offer of German Zonin to go to the Leningrad Zenit , where he became the main player. But with the arrival of Yuri Morozov on the coaching bridge, who headed for rejuvenation, he was forced to leave the team, moving to Odessa Chernomorets .
In 1980, Alexander transferred to the Nikopol Kolos , which was coached by Vladimir Emets and Gennady Zhizdik . A year later, the Dnepropetrovsk Dnipro headed the trainers' duet, inviting Damina to their new club. He spent two years in Dnepropetrovsk , playing stably in the starting lineup. At the end of 1982, he had a car accident and, although there were no serious consequences, shortly afterwards, Alexander decided to end his playing career [1] .
