Research Interests
A specialist in French literature and theater of the era of classicism , developed on this material the ideas of Pierre Bourdieu . The author of works on the formation of the writer's profession, literary culture, the place of literature in the education system.
Teaching
He taught at the University of Paris III New Sorbonne (currently a retired professor), at the University of Oxford , where he headed the Department of French Literature, as well as at the University of Liege , the University of Laval in Quebec , Emory University in Atlanta, the University of Chicago, and Tel Aviv University and etc.
