Biography
Kosovo Albania . Born on August 25, 1986 in Kosovska Mitrovica . At thirteen she moved with her parents to Pristina . She began her musical career in 2004, performing at the television competition “Albanian Idol”, in which she took fifth place. Soon after, she got involved in radio, becoming the host of Radio Blue Sky [3] . In parallel with this, Rona actively continued her musical activities, releasing several successful singles by 2011.
December 29, 2011 became the winner of the anniversary Festivali i Këngës. This victory gave her the right to represent her country at the annual Eurovision Song Contest 2012 , which was held in Baku [1] [4] . The competition song “ Suus ” was performed in two languages - Albanian and Latin [4] . It is noteworthy that Rona is the first Kosovo Albanian, representing Albania at Eurovision. At Eurovision 2012 in the first semi-final, she took 2nd place, receiving 146 points, which gave her the right to play in the Eurovision final 2012. In the final she took 5th place, receiving 146 points. Despite her 5th place, Rona showed the best result of her country in the entire history of her participation in the Eurovision Song Contest.
