History
In ancient times, the village was owned by the nearby Nikolo-Ostrovsky Monastery. He had there "two palaces" for the monastic servants. Then Ushersko belonged to the Nikolo-Lyadsky monastery, which also had a courtyard in the village for servants and "servants". In the XIX century, coachmen lived in Ushersko (as they were called then - hunters ). According to written sources, at the end of the 16th century, coachmen, together with the Nikolo-Lyadsky monastery, owned lands in this area.
In the area of the village, on Volotovy field, there was a group of mounds (the most numerous in the Novgorod district). So far, they have not survived, but their presence was witnessed by the famous historian Z. Khodakovsky, who worked here in 1821. According to the chronicles, there was a hill on the Volotovy field with the grave of the ancient Novgorod elder Gostomysl . Khodakovsky excavated mounds, but did not get the expected result.
During World War II, the village was on the front line for 2.5 years and suffered a lot. After the war was revived. Until April 2014, the village was part of the now-abolished Volotovsky rural settlement [2] .
