The Sindhi celebrate the Four Chand in honor of the birth of Jhulelal , the Ishtadev Sindhi. This day is considered extremely favorable and is celebrated with pomp and fun. On this day, people worship water - the elixir of life, since Jhulelal is the god of water.
Congratulations on Chet Chand - “Cheti Chand jyon Lakh Lakh Lakh Wadayun Athav”; the answer should be “Twah khe bhi Cheti Chand jyon Lakh Lakh Lakh Wadayun Athav”.
Before the holiday, believers observe [1] Chaliho Sahab - they don’t shave for 40 days, do not use soap and oil, do not change clothes (although they can wash the clothes they wear) [2] . The celebration itself begins in the temple, and then flows into the festival with folk songs and dances, one of the goals of which is to rally the community [2] [3] .
