History
The duo was formed in 2000 , a week after they met Amanda Palmer and Brian Vilone (or Viglione) at the Halloween party. The musicians call their style “ Brekhtovsky punk - cabaret ” ( English Brechtian punk cabaret ). The Dresden Dolls draw inspiration from both punk rock and German cabaret from the time of the Weimar Republic , primarily from the works of Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weil [1] . Live performances of the group accompanies the appropriate stage show.
