Red-bellied Mountain Tanagra [2] ( lat. Anisognathus igniventris ) is a species of bird from the Tanagra family. Birds inhabit subtropical and tropical mountain rainforests and shrubs [3] . Body length about 19 cm [4] , weight about 27 grams [3] .

There are four subspecies [1] :
- Anisognathus igniventris lunulatus - in the Andes of western Venezuela - in the south of Tachira , and the neighboring departments of Colombia - from Norte de Santander south to the eastern Andes of Kundinamarca ;
- Anisognathus igniventris erythrotus - in the central Andes of Colombia in the departments of Caldas , Cauca , Uila and Narinho , south through Ecuador to northern Peru - north of the Maranion River and south of the Chamaya River ( Spanish río Chamaya );
- Anisognathus igniventris ignicrissa - on the eastern slopes of the Andes of Peru - from central Cajamarca and Amazonas south to Junin ;
- Anisognathus igniventris igniventris - the eastern slopes of the mountains in Peru - from the Junin region south to Santa Cruz (Bolivia).
