The length of the ridge is about 80 km. The highest point is Mount Babya (1725 m). The mountains are composed mainly of sandstones . Spruce - fir and beech forests grow on slopes up to a height of 1400 m, mountain shrubs and meadows grow higher. The Babegur National Park is open here .
