Polyakov, Alexey Ivanovich

Born on August 27, 1943 in the village of Kalinovo, Voroshilovograd region . He was the sixth child in the family. Infancy fell on the difficult war years , and childhood - on the difficult, unsaturated post-war. An overwhelming addiction to painting has been evident since the first school years. But the dream to enter an art school after school did not come true (“by poverty”). After school, in 1960, he studied at the Kadievsky technical school. In 1962 he was drafted ^[1] in the SA . He served in the GDR .

The army unexpectedly helped to establish itself in the intentions to become an artist: four paintings by Polyakov, an artist of one of the military units of the Group of Soviet Forces in Germany , who participated in the exhibition “20 Years of Victory of the Soviet Army” (1965, Berlin ), were spotted and made the author a diplomat of the exhibition. This was a good recommendation for admission to the Surikov Institute . But it was not destined: the documents submitted for admission did not contain works on drawing and painting (they did not come from the GDR). In 1965, Alexei returned to his homeland; moves to live in Donetsk . Without special education, without an entry in the labor book ^[2], being a painter in the USSR meant having the stamp of a parasite ^[3] . “I worked for 10 years until I was written in the workbook“ Artist ”...” - A. Polyakov recalled that time as a well-known painter. He worked as a DC artist, designer, artist-performer in the art fund ^{[4] of the} Donetsk organization of the National Union of Artists , studied drawing and painting in the art studio of the Palace of Culture ^[5] named after Franco .
In 1972, A. Polyakov, for the first time, participated in an exhibition of the regional organization of agricultural associations. In 1974, the first solo exhibition of the artist (Donetsk). Since 1976, participates in republican, and since 1978, and all-Union exhibitions of young artists. In 1977, at the open air in Sedneva, he met F.Z. Zakharov .
