Biography

Born July 24 ( August 5 ), 1832 . The son of the adjutant general, the infantry general, the Moscow military governor-general Pavel Alekseevich Tuchkov .

From the pages of pages he was promoted to ensign of the Life Guards Preobrazhensky Regiment . He participated in the Sevastopol campaign , then in subduing the Polish rebellion of 1863 , for distinction he was awarded a golden saber with the inscription "For courage" . During the Russian-Turkish war of 1877-1878. Mikhail Pavlovich was a member of the field headquarters of the Danube Army; in the last years of his life he was a member of the State Suite. He took an active and active part in the establishment of the Moscow branch of the Imperial Russian Musical Society . On his initiative, with the assistance of organized in the sixties, an orchestra of students. He was the first secretary of the Moscow brother-loving society for the supply of poor people. Wife (08.23.1870, Karlsruhe ) - Countess Elena Fedorovna Orlova-Denisova (04.22.1843-15.05.1898), daughter of Lieutenant General Fedor Vasilyevich Orlov-Denisov . There were no children in the marriage. She was buried with her husband in Moscow at the cemetery of the Novodevichy Convent.
