The Puerto Rico Ministry of Health ( Spanish: Departamento de Salud de Puerto Rico ; Department of Health of Puerto Rico ) was created under Section 4, Section 6 of the Puerto Rico Constitution. [1] It is led by the Minister of Health, appointed by the Governor of Puerto Rico and requires the advice and consent of the Senate of Puerto Rico. The Minister of Health is the eighth in the rank of state ministers.
