“ Their Italy ” is a travel documentary filmed in 2011 by the leading Vladimir Pozner in partnership with Ivan Urgant and the previous film crew (the one that worked on the previous Tour de France film in 2009-2010). Now the leaders are visiting Italy . The main shootings were in the summer of 2011 , but subsequently they mounted the previously shot interviews with famous Italians , which is, according to the creators, a difference from previous films.

Multiple postponement of the premiere
Premiere more than once postponed. Channel One could broadcast the film as early as December 2011; however, at the end of December 2011, Vladimir Vladimirovich noted that the general director of the first channel would most likely approve the premiere of the 10-episode film only in the second half of January 2012 (that is, the show will begin after the New Year holidays). And later (in the evening, February 7, 2012 at the Geraldine restaurant at the presentation of the book Farewell to Illusions), Vladimir Pozner said that the film will be released in April 2012 . As a result, it was planned that the series will premiere in May. [1] Then, on May 28, in the GUM cinema hall (3rd line, 3rd floor) as part of the Cherry Forest festival, - stated that the prime minister approved by the First Channel on June 17, 2012, had four episodes a week ( total - 10 episodes). [2] On June 11, it became known that the series would premiere on July 1, 2012. [3]
Story
According to the author and producer, Vladimir Pozner, the film is different from the previous two. Of course, the concept - to highlight the culinary, cultural and social life of the country - continues. But Pozner says: “This cycle will be different from the previous ones - in America and France. Ivan and I will first take 10 interviews with the most famous Italians - we will ask everyone about the main, in their opinion, sights of Italy, as well as about the most outstanding dishes and drinks. And then we will go to iconic places and try the recommended dishes. ... At the end of each interview we will ask two questions: "If I could go only to one place in Italy, where would you advise?", and the second: " If I could eat one Italian dish, to something it would be the dish and where it is best to prepare "The second part of the shooting - a trip to Italy in the mentioned people space with eating these foods during final assembly is the place and the dish will be introduced in a television interview with the hero.". Concept
Naturally, the viewer will be able to observe analogies with previous travel films - “One-Storied America” and “Tour de France” , because the backbone of the presenters and the film crew is the same. At the same time, Posner said that the film will be different in structure (at least due to interview inserts) from the previous ones. In addition, Vladimir Pozner at the time of the trip only studied, and did not perfectly master Italian . At the same time, English and French are native to Posner, and he did not need a translator on television trips to America and France . And further. Vladimir Pozner noted that for the Italian there is no such country as “Italy”. For the Italian, “Italy” is not a state, but native places, favorite dishes, which are necessarily the most interesting and best. Indeed, Italy is not a centralized state in terms of cultural life, and therefore a socio-cultural film is only de jure about one country, and de facto about "many countries in one country."
