Mikhail Olegovich Grigorenko (born May 16, 1994 , Khabarovsk , Russia ) is a Russian hockey player , the central striker of the KHL club CSKA and the national team of Russia. 2018 Olympic champion, bronze medalist of the 2019 World Cup. Gagarin Cup winner in 2019 as part of CSKA. Honored Master of Sports of Russia [2] .

Silver (2012) and bronze (2013, 2014) prize-winner of the youth world championships in the Russian team . In the 2011/12 season he was recognized as the best young striker, the best rookie and the most promising junior of the year in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League [3] .

Game career
In the NHL draft in 2012, he was selected in the first round by the Buffalo Sabers team under a common 12 number. He made his debut in the NHL on January 20, 2013. He scored his first goal in the NHL on January 29, 2013 against the Toronto Maple Leafs .
On June 26, 2015, Buffalo traded Mikhail Grigorenko, defender Nikita Zadorov , striker Jay Comfer and the 2015 second round pick at the Colorado Avalanche pick for Ryan O'Reilly and striker Jamie McGinn [4] . As a limited free agent, he signed a one-year contract with Colorado for $ 675,000 [5] . Having completed the season with 27 points in 74 matches, in the summer of 2016, Mikhail extended the contract with Avalanches for another year in the amount of $ 1.3 million [6] .
In 2017, Mikhail moved to CSKA . In the 2017/2018 season, he managed to score 36 points in 66 matches. And already in the next season, he significantly added and scored 73 points in 75 matches. [7] This season, Grigorenko as part of CSKA became the owner of the Gagarin Cup , defeating Omsk Avangard in the final.
Team Career
In 2018, he was included in the team of Olympic athletes from Russia to participate in the Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang. Together with the team, he became the Olympic champion , gaining 4 points (1 + 3) in six matches. He scored the only goal against the Norwegian national team in the 1/4 final match.
At the 2018 World Cup in Denmark, in 8 matches, he scored 7 points (4 + 3), the team took sixth place. He scored two goals against the Austrian national team and one at a goal in Switzerland and the Czech Republic.
In 2019, he was called up to the Russian national team for the World Cup in Slovakia, where he became a bronze medalist with the team [8] . Grigorenko scored 5 points (4 + 1) in 10 championship matches. He scored a winning puck in the quarter finals against the US team (4: 3), and also opened the scoring in the match for third place against the Czech team.
