History
On April 25, 1945, the remainder of the 9th Mountain Division, one of the battle groups called Raitel ( it. Raithel ) became the basis for a new mountain rifle division. The division was divided into two brigades of the Imperial Labor Service : the Styria Brigade and the Enns im Moor Brigade. Both divisions conducted partisan actions in the mountains, trying to stop the Soviet units. The division did not affect the course of the war in any way, because second-rate and third-rate soldiers, not heavily armed and outfitted, came there. In May 1945, the division ceased resistance.
