Puket [1] ( Thai ทิว เขา ภูเก็ต , Thio Khao Phuket , tʰiw kʰǎw pʰuː.kèt ) is a mountain range on the Malacca Peninsula , in Thailand .

The length of the ridge is about 250 km. The maximum elevation is 1465 m. The mountains are composed of granites , gneisses , crystalline schists and limestones . The ridge is deeply dissected and in some places breaks up into separate massifs. Evergreen rainforests grow on the slopes.
