The Ministry of Labor and Social Policy of the Republic of Poland was established in 2005 to administer issues related to environmental protection in Poland.

This agency was formed from the former and short-lived Ministry of Social Affairs (created in 2004) and the abridged Ministry of Economy. From the Ministry of Economy, the new Ministry acquired authority in the areas of employment and the fight against unemployment, working conditions, labor relations and trade union relations. The social part of the policy of the ministry gives him authority over family issues, social benefits and social security.
The current Polish Minister of the Environment is Elzbieta Rafalska .
