Lodrefan is located 34 km east of Metz . Neighboring communes: Longeville-le-Saint-Avold in the north, Saint-Avold in the northeast, Valmont and Folshwiller in the east, Teten-sur-Nye in the southeast, Ponpierre in the south, Folkemon in the southwest, Creange in the south -West, Trittlen-Redlash in the west, Bambiderstrof in the north-west.
